Wicked!

Last Thursday, I was thrilled to be able to join my big sis Beck, my good friend Laurie and her darling daughter Carlie to see the matinee show of Wicked. My Sister Shauna last minute decided to take off with her family over Spring Break, so she sold her ticket to me. Thank you, Shaun! I loved it! It was FANTASTIC!
The music is my favorite part of this show. Since the show, I can’t get enough of these three songs:

For Good – Popular – Defying Gravity

My only complaint was the that the lady next to me started trimming her fingernails during the show…I KNOW!! But don’t you worry, you know what I did?! …I leaned over and I gave her “The Look”. Yeah, you know the look. And then you know what I told her?! In my best low-mean-what-the-heck-do-you-think-you’re-doing-lady voice I said…”HEY”. Yeah, I told her. Thankfully she stopped.
Seriously, people…C’MON already!

Anywho…I loved the show and would see it again right now if I could.

I am beyond jillious. I was supposed to see it in NYC – and we know how that turned out – so I never got tix in Utah.

Now I fear I will never see it!

I’m so out of it, I didn’t know this was playing in UT!

And holy gross-out, Batman, clipping their fingernails in public? There’s a whole clip about it that I heard the other day on “This American Life” called “Ruining it for the Rest of Us.” http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio_episode.aspx?sched=1275

It’s a way long clip, but the part about the nails is the final segment called “Disturbing the Peace Train.”

The worst part isn’t even the noise of it – so gross to leave your fingernail clippings in a public place! Blech!

grooming in public should not be acceptable. who knows where those clippings will fly off to?

Totally gross that that woman was trimming her nails. There’s a dude in my ward that does that in the middle of sacrament meeting and it completely grosses me out.

i loved “wicked.” i saw it on broadway dec 2007 while in nyc. i love the song ‘no good deed goes unpunished.’ it makes you think of ‘the wizard of oz’ differently.
