The iPhone…

and to think that I’m not even getting paid to advertise for them.

This last Christmas, we got iPhones. Coming from the phone that I had before this one, it was like night to day. It might just be the neatest thing I have ever held in my hand, er I mean fourth neatest thing I’ve ever held in my hand. ;) I realize it’s just a phone and many of you couldn’t care less, but what is a blog for if not to document the things that you like?! (If it was 1987, this post would be all about jelly shoes.) Plus, with how fast technology improves, this post will be fun to look back at in a few years to see how much things have changed.

The iPhone, it’s:
your calendar
your ipod
your calculator
your to do list and grocery list
your alarm clock
your remote control for your entire music library
your GPS
your phone ;)
your… the list goes on an on.

Because I love to see what Apps other people love, I took screen shots of my home screens and some of my favorite apps. Thus far I have only paid for one app called Blocked for 0.99, it’s a fun one. All the rest either came with my phone or were free.

You can listen to all of your music, or compose your own.

You can use it to grocery shop and then steam it up while you wait to check out.

You can take note of the set list at a concert and hold up your virtual lighter when they sing your favorite song.

You can play games, games and more games on your gameboy er I mean iphone.

You can read your scriptures or brush up on your Spanish at a stop light.

Texting, visual voice mail and google voice search are some of my favorite things.

The number one thing I enjoy the most, is probably just the internet.

What are some of your favorite apps?

*To take screen shots with your iPhone like I did for this post, all you have to do is press and hold the main circle button at the bottom and then click the button at the top.

Brett has been wanting to get me one but I am afraid to learn how to use it. Is it easy? I’m such an old lady when it comes to technology and I don’t like to take the time to learn, but it sounds awesome.
You might have sold me and Brett will thank you.

Thanks for the tip on taking screen shots on the iPhone…I learned something new and found a bunch of new, cool apps from you! I surprised you don’t have Parking Lot as one of your games. That is also a very addictive game. I bought my iPhone at the beginning of this month and absolutely LOVE it!

The iPhone is cool. But I am a Blackberry girl – I can do almost all the same stuff :)

Very cool phone. I haven’t got one yet because it isn’t covered by Verizon and I’m a Verizon girl. Bummer. :(

What a fun post. I don’t know how you find the time to post almost every day, but I’m sure glad you do. Your blog is such a treat! Dessert at the end of a long day, or first thing in the morning -which is often my favorite time to eat dessert. :)

Cam has an iPhone and I love playing with his. I’m surprised you don’t have the old standby, Solitare. That’s a great one!

I have a BlackBerry. It doesn’t have all the apps that the iPhone does but my favorite part is the alarm that goes off telling me, “Shaunee, you have one hour to get your act together and then you need to be somewhere.” Good times. What would we do without our phones!

i love technology! those dang mac people, why are they such geniuses?! as faithful as we are to pc, we are definitely saving for the iphone. you just can’t beat that! i’m baffled that pc doesn’t even try to emulate them, i’m sure they could sharpen their image and still keep their prices low.

LOVE the screen shot tip. I love my scripture app, lazy but I don’t take my scriptures to church now (I just wish I could highlight on my phone…) I love Solfree, a solitaire app. My kids love the calculator app, they think it is a number game, not going to spoil that one. I love the internet, I read a good portion of my blogs that way now. I can’t imagine someone not loving an iPhone.

You’re makin me jealous! I am in need of a new phone but I’m holding out. Plus I have to wait for my contract to run out with TMobile. Your post made me extra excited to get one, one day though!

Okay I think the iPhone is cool and my husband wants one really bad. One big problem though is that you can only get it through AT&T and I heard they have crappy service. We have Verizon and have had for years and everyone we know has it, so it doesn't make sense for us to switch. What do you think?

P.S. Yes this is the first time I ever commented on your blog, but I read it daily. (:

    I don’t.
    I really want one.
    Someday soon hopefully.
And it is the neatest thing he has ever held in his hand. It is my biggest competition…and so skinny too!
    Damn iphone.

    Catherine says:

you should be a spokesperson for them! You made me so jealous I really want one. Its sickkk!!!

It sounds like a lot of people dont have one because they dont want/have AT&T, I heard you can get an unlocked version and use the service you have. It costs a little more but its worth all the hustle.

Remember when we all had nokias and the big thing was playing "snake" on them? HAHA! oh goodness. have a good week gal!

    I miss snake.

And I love AT&T. Rollover minutes rule.
