In going along with the post that I did last week about blogger tips, I thought it would be fun to share a few of the tips that I have learned while on Facebook.
1. You can subscribe to almost anything in Facebook… tagged photos, status updates, posted items, notes, etc. So if you already use a feed reader, I suggest turning all your email notifications off and just subscribe.
2. You can show up to 12 of your friends on your profile page…and it can be friends that you choose. The default always shows only 4 of your friends, and it is always a random selection. I liked learning this one, because it is one way you can customize your profile page.
Because you are limited to 12, I was thinking it would be fun to rotate the 12 every month or so to mix it up. One month you could do blog friends, then the next month you could do family friends, then the next month you could do college friends…big friends, little friends, friends who workout…your options are endless!☺
Side note: If you are my FB friend and you would like to be 1 of my 12 for next month, I am taking requests now. Next month’s category: Friends Who Like Pie. ☺
3. At the bottom of your home page, if you click on Options for News Feed, then you can customize your home page.
You can decide what you want to see more or less of by sliding these.
Also, you can type in FB friends names that you want to see more or less about. You might want to see more about a close friend and a little less of Mr. Facebook.
Who’s Mr. Facebook, you ask? Oh, we all have one, or in my case 3.
Mr. Facebook is the one who
-updates his FB status multiple times a day
-is tagged in pictures weekly (most likely with scantily clad women)
-and changes his relationship status quarterly.
(I may be slightly exaggerating a bit here, but it’s just for your reading pleasure.)☺
4. You can create Friend Lists. With so many people on Facebook these days, this is a great way to contact a group of friends easily.
5. Be aware of your privacy settings. See Here.
I hope this was a bit helpful. I’ve enjoyed being on Facebook, but who knows, it might just be a phase.
One last thing…I thought this was funny.

I happen to adore pie. Chocolate pie, coconut cream pie, pecan pie, some apple pies (fresh), berry pies…hopefully that is enough to earn a spot on your page. And thanks for the info. I had no idea I could do all that on Facebook!
