This photo was actually taken a few weeks ago. It is crazy how much he has already changed since this picture. So before I feel like things are changing too fast, here is a list of a few of my favorite things about a newborn…especially mine.
- the smell…has anyone turned that into a scented candle yet?!
- the way they put their hands in tight fists underneath their chin when they first start eating
- their hungry cry…although a bit too urgent (I don’t stress as much the second time around)
- when they poop…at this stage, everything is cute
- rooting
- the first real bath, when you can tell they just love it
- when they are sleeping, there is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby
He is so cute! I love that hair and all his cute chubby-ness!!
Ahhhhh – I love it! I think newborn is my favorite stage of all. I like when they’re still all bendy and fold their legs up to their chest.
He’s such a doll – I love his little chubs!
How precious is he?! Soak up these newborn moments…they fly by all to quickly. My newborn is 10 months.
Oh my, he’s cute. I haven’t seen him for a few weeks. I love the rooting and the funny faces they make when they sleep.
Oh, you’re making me baby hungry. He is just so very cute. I love all the funny noises they make. I love the look on your face, total joy and love. So sweet.
They are so sweet and all those little nuances pass by so quickly. It’s good you are jotting them down, you’ll be glad you did. He is the cutest little guy. I love that tummy!
My husband loves a newborn smell too. He says each of our girls had a different smell, and he can still remember them. I also love the sleeping part. They are just so innocent and precious! =)
How ’bout when they look at you with that look (like in the picture). He knows you are his mom. So cute!!

I love how he is beginning to really watch and respond. So cute. My favorite baby stage is 1 year to 18 months. Love that baby age!

I agree with the sleeping. Soooo sweet. I just wished it happened in longer stretches at night with those newborns. Your little guy is beautiful. Love all that hair!

OK, there is nothing I love more than the smell of a newborn baby and all of their little sounds. Holy cow! How could you not be smitten?

I love the newborn stage! My little man is 4 months old now and I can not believe how fast it is going! Loving every minute of it! Especially the moments where they look at you with that sweet face…great picture!! Congrats again!

You are spot on! I just love it when my little dude roots! I love to just stick my nose in the back of his neck and sniff him and kiss him to death. Yep, our babies look tons alike…they must have known each other up above
