My Grandma is an amazing Quilter. She has made so many different kinds of quilts, but her baby quilts are our favorite. For every new baby in the family, she makes a Baby Quilt out of tricot fabric. All the babies just love this silky fabric. She does all the quilting by hand (so many teeny tiny stitches).
Recently she just gave us the one that she made for our little one coming soon. I think it is the sweetest thing, so I had to show it off. There is just something about Giraffes with those long eye lashes.
The back of her quilts are sometimes more amazing to me than the front. All those little stitches really mean so much.
Thank you Grandma for keeping us all so warm.

That is absoulutely beautiful! What a sweet, and talented grandma.
Quilting must run through the blood? Do you quilt? We should get ourselves a quilting club…what do you think?
That really is beautiful. Those always mean so much when they are made by someone special.
Please let us know when the little one arrives.
Grandma has made hundreds of quilts. My favorite made by her is a “plain cloth” quilt which is a cream colored quilt with an amazing quilted pattern. She’s something!
that is beautifuL! What a wonderful heirloom!
That quilt is darling, and so is your grandma.
My mom has made a quilt for each of her grandchildren, and we cherish those, too!
Such a work of art!! Your sweet grandma is amazing. What a beautiful talent. Isn’t she gifted and aren’t you lucky! Tiny boy is going to be so cute with his sweet little blankie!
that is GORGEOUS!
Aren’t we all so lucky to get those quilts? I remember first seeing her work and Drew and Brydie’s wedding and thinking how amazing it was
You just gotta feel loved inside a quilt Grandma made for you – she is and they are incredible.
That is a great picture of Grandma.
That stitching is amazing. What is sad is things like that are soon going to be a lost art. Our generation wouldn’t know what the heck they’re doing with something like that. Definitely an heirloom to be treasured.
What a treasure!! That is definitely something to cherish forever!
What a talent!!! I love that, because it’s something you’ll have forever that you’ll always remember her for! I love grandma’s that take the time to show they care:)
Grandma’s are the best! My grandma does the same thing for every baby born. She doesn’t use that silky material though, maybe I should suggest it:)
Wow!!! Those are actually really cool – they’re like antique! I seriously bet she could sell those!
And how sweet to know that she stitched every one of those little stitches thinking about you and your new baby! What a neat heirloom!
What an amazing quilt! Jason’s grandma made one for him when he was born, and my kids still use it and love it!
That is really amazing. I can’t believe she does it all by hand.
p.s. I’m glad it feels like summer where you are cause we’re still wearing pants with all the rain we’ve been getting.
That is an absolutly amazing balnket. There is nothing like a blanket made with love. My grandma is a quilter as well, you never know what to expect…
Your Grandma is amazing! I love that beautiful quilt.
I love the treeko quilts too! Even though it’s a blanket and it’s supposed to keep you warm – somehow the treeko has a cooling effect when you are sleeping with it. I love the giraffe pattern! Can’t wait to see pic of your little guy!
That quilt is FANTASTIC!! I love it.
How many more days until the baby? I have something for you and I don’t want to mail it. Can we get together?
No one like her in the world!
Who doesn’t like treeko? My man and I even conned my grandma into making one for our bed. Sweet silky baby blanket goodness. My kids have had to have several made because they start looking a little like germ science projects after a few years. Baby Boy is going to LOVE it!
what a special tribute to your sweetest little grandma, kami–love he little bluebirds and flowers.
That is gorgeous! Quilting really is a lost art. I feel really talented if I TIE a quilt. Oh well. And treeko is actually tricot. I think it’s French.
