Monday October 15th is Blog Action Day and this year the theme is The Environment. If you have a blog, join in the fun. Post on your blog on issues relating to the environment. It can be anything you want, relating to the topic. Here are some ideas of simple things to talk about and commit to:
-sign up for a curb side recycle bin – sign up for a yard waste only bin if available in your area – don’t let your car idol when your not driving it – change your light bulbs over – unplug stuff – bring your own reuseable take home container – Anyway, here are just a few. Republicrat, that’s hilarious. I love you Debbie. So… I was watching the Fox morning news and reading the banner that goes across the bottom of the screen the other day; apparently, Utah emits the most greenhouse gasses in the entire U.S., and is warming at a faster rate than any other place on the PLANET! You would never know it from how cold it’s been so early in the season, but that’s scary! Something definitely needs to be done.
What I’m wondering is, how come everything I’ve been telling my kids for years is finally in fashion. You know, like ‘turn off the lights, shut the door, you’re letting all the cool air out, you don’t have to shower for 20 minutes, don’t leave the water running’, to name a few. All those comments I used to get dirty looks for are now the IN thing! Crazy!! Now I’m getting dirty looks for having bottled water in my fridge!
